Willem Voges is a resident of Ward 1, Cape Town, where his parents bought the family home in 1978. He has watched the area develop over decades. He serves as deputy chairman of the PWP Residents’ and Ratepayers’ Association.
With 20 years of corporate experience in telecommunications, he brings expertise in service management, project oversight, quality assurance and feedback.
Willem stands for responsible municipal oversight, excellent service levels, regular maintenance and responsible residential development. He believes residents deserve an accessible representative who listens, escalates and follows up consistently.

“Ward 1 is my home, and I am committed to preserving and improving our community. I believe we must stop accepting declining service levels simply because other municipalities perform worse. Our residents deserve excellence. No excuses.
I will focus on regular maintenance of infrastructure and parks, safer streets and open spaces, as well as responsible development that complies with legal requirements. I want to be an accessible representative who listens, escalates problems quickly and ensures proper follow-up. Communication is the golden thread that makes everything work.”
